With the emphasis on breathability and light weight in all the clothing, the hi tech fabrics wick moisture away effectively and keep dampness to a minimum, thus allowing you to stay at a stable temperature- crucial in a high energy event or long duration run. Comfort levels are high, so much so that the tights can be a little unnverving. It almost feels like you're running 'commando' - er, we imagine, anyway.
The new XT Wings shoes offer a superb level of versatility, catering happily to both on and off road running. There are few adventure races and even few casual trail runs, where absolutely no tarmac features, and these are cushioned enough to cope with some road work, as well as being stable and supportive enough for serious off roading. The pull cord adjustment is well designed too, and easy to use.
